NEWT35C-002 (E0055-06) 1.5inch Textile Dome Mid-Tweeter

The T35C002 is a classic dome midrange tweeter with high sensitivity and a smooth, extended frequency response.

A coated fabric dome with integral surround manufactured by Dr. K. Müller in Germany ensures excellent performance and consistency. This supplier was among the fi rst in the world to offer fabric dome diaphragms, and did produce the diaphragm for the famous 1.5” Dome Tweeter H087, developed by Seas in 1968 and used in the famous Dynaco A25 kit.

A small, high efficiency Neodymium ring magnet in a carefully designed system contributes to high sensitivity and low distortion.

The top plate and T-yoke are CNC machined for excellent precision. A well damped vented pole and a rigid rear chamber ensure a low resonance frequency and smooth response.

A generously underhung 35mm voice coil wound from copper-clad aluminum wire further enhances the sensitivity.

Flexible lead-out wires and venting holes in the aluminum coil former help reduce noise to a minimum.

A 7 mm thick precision machined aluminum front plate with moderate horn loading ensures linear frequency response and represents an extremely stable platform for the magnet system and the moving parts.

Crescendo fabric Dome

The T29CF002, ”CRESCENDO” is an Ultra High End 29mm soft dome tweeter with a
HEXADYM magnet system.

An optimally shaped dome and integrated wide surround manufactured by SEAS
from SONOMEX ensure excellent performance and consistency.

A high efficiency HEXADYM magnet system (US Patent 6020805) based on 6
radially magnetized NdFeB magnet blocks provide efficient ventilation and damping
of cavities behind the dome, surround and voice coil. Moderate magnetic stray fields
represent no problems in AV installations.

A generously underhung voice coil with flexible lead-out wires, ensures low
distortion even with low crossover frequencies.

A 6mm precision machined aluminium front plate with moderate horn loading
ensures linear frequency response and reasonable efficiency.

The central part of the horn is made from chrome plated precision machined brass.
A substantial injection moulded rear chamber made from zinc eliminates unwanted
chamber wall resonances and conducts heat away from the magnet system.

The rear chamber and the front plate are Nextel painted to obtain a durable and attractive
finish.

The T25CF001 is a 25mm fabric dome with moderately high efficiency.
An optimally shaped dome and a wide SONOMEX surround, both manufactured by
SEAS, ensure excellent performance and consistency.

Low viscosity magnetic fluid which provides excellent cooling while maintaining a low resonance frequency.

6 mm solid metal front plate with a slight loading characteristic which ensures
linear frequency response, and a stiff and stable connection to the cabinet.

A substantial injection-moulded rear chamber, with complex internal shape and
reinforcing ribs, which eliminate unwanted chamber resonances and reflections.

A double magnet system which increases sensitivity and provides better control of the voice coil.

This system also reduces the magnetic stray fields, making the T25CF001 an ideal choice in high end A/V applications.

A paper cone with a unique Nextel coating ensures smooth frequency response and low distortion.

§ A large magnet system with a bumped back plate, together with a very long and light weight CCAW voice coil, allow extreme coil excursion with low distortion and excellent transient response.

§ Heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole piece reduce non-linear and modulation distortion and increase overload margin.

§ A chrome plated brass phase plug reduces compression due to temperature variations in the voice coil, increase long term power handling capacity and eliminates resonances in the cavity inside the voice coil former.

§ The extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflection, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.
