The B1371 incorporates three of the latest cutting edge drivers from the
Revelator line.
Holding down
bass duty is the robust 32W/4878T-0113", Scan-Speaks most powerful woofer to
date.
Midrange is
covered by the high efficiency18M/4631T 7" sliced paper cone mid driver.
High
frequency reproduction is carried by the top of the lineD2908/7140 1"Beryllium
dome tweeter.

Madisound hand assembles each crossover
to order.
We use premium parts throughout to compliment these incredible Revelator
drivers.
All parts are
terminated with 3% silver solder to our silver tinned copper circuit boards.
The series tweeter circuit comes standard with Mundorf McapSupreme caps
The shunt
circuit uses a with Clarity Cap CSA
for the large 150 mfd value required.
The series
midrange circuit comes standard with Clarity Cap CSA capacitors run in parallel
to achieve the required 120 mfd & 220 mfd values.
The main
series inductor is a Goertz Copper Foil 0.75mH 14 awg.
The series woofer
circuit utilizes ultra low resistance Sledgehammer 15awg Steel
Laminate inductors.

Fully Assembled & Finished White High Gloss Cabinets
The Ara is a 2-way stand-mount speaker kit based on the top line of Satori
drivers and was designed by the Danish SB engineering team.
The gently faceted top corner shape is specially angled to reduce high frequency
diffraction and yields superb imaging qualities. 7⁰ inclined baffle slope helps
time align the drivers, allowing for a relatively simple crossover design that
delivers impressive sound staging. The wedge shaped inner rear walls behind the
midwoofers reduce reflections, while the inclined bottom diminishes standing
waves. All the cabinet panels are cut from 18mm MDF with internal bracing to
distribute cabinet vibrations evenly and hence lower sound coloration.
The Ara kit comes with everything required to build a stereo pair of speakers.
The cabinets are completely assembled and have a premium high gloss finish. The
driver holes are precision cut for flush mounting of the tweeters and woofers. A
rear port is built in, and the back is cut for the included terminal plate with
binding posts. Internal damping material and driver mounting hardware is
included. The crossovers are even pre-wired and terminated with slide on quick
connects for the drivers. No soldering is required, and kit assembly can be
completed with a screwdriver or drill. Assembly instructions are included.

High performance kit using the Supreme SCW-636 woofer and the
Supreme ST-1048 tweeter. A kit for the connoisseur, designed to
showcase the wonderful detail of the Supreme drive units without
sounding harsh or bright. The ZIV TWO kit has a very lifelike
reproduction of vocals; the sound is clean and detailed with a
large deep soundstage. Bass is tight, controlled at all times
displaying subtlety rather than a heavy ponderous sound that
many speakers have. This kit includes two woofers, two tweeters,
and two professionally assembled crossovers with your choice of
series capacitor. You may wish to purchase some foam for lining
and some wool for filling the inside of the box. TD terminal
cups and MD14 cabinets are optional and available via the
pulldown menus. We do not have precut baffles for this
combination at this time. Damping materials, wire, screws,
ports, etcetera are not included.

SB Acoustics drivers have quickly established themselves as serious performers within the DIY speaker building community. We feel this line of drivers is a perfect choice for a high performance 3-Way design. There is no concession in the driver selection or crossover design, yet the final price is more than reasonable for a system of this stature.

Crossover Information:
Crossover parts were carefully selected for both high quality sound reproduction and adequate power handling. The series circuits feature a low DCR Sledgehammer 15 AWG Steel Laminate inductor for the woofer, Solen Fastcap & Sidewinder 16AWG Air Core inductors for the midrange, and Clarity SA Caps for the tweeter. Mundorf MOX resistors are also used throughout the tweeter circuit and in series with the midrange. The crossovers are professionally assembled on three circuit boards. The midrange is on a Matrix Double, and the woofer and tweeter are each on a Matrix. You can bi-wire/amp or even tri-wire/amp the SB12.3 if you desire.

The ZA-SR71 is designed for Madisound by John Krutke of Zaph Audio.

and we are very pleased to offer you an easy to build kit based on his expertise.

Both drivers are from the Seas Prestige lineup. In our opinion,
the Prestige line offers unparalleled performance for the price.
The mid/bass is the ER18RNX(1456) 7” Reed/Paper Pulp Cone woofer
with a copper shorting ring in the magnet system.
This driver provides smooth response, excellent excursion and very low distortion.
The tweeter is the extremely popular 27TDFC(H1189).
This ferrofluid cooled tweeter employs a High Definition pre-coated fabric dome
with a wide soft polymer surround.
The optimally dampened rear chamber allows for a low crossover point.
This kit is designed for use in the finishedMD14BP cabinet (.5cf, rear ported)
with the pre-routedMD14-B4 baffle.
The cabinets are sold in matched pairs and measure 9.1” W x 15.4” T x 11”D.
Cabinets have real wood veneer and are available in Black Ash, Maple and Cherry finishes.
Please choose one.
The ZA-SR71 kit includes everything you need for one pair of speakers, including assembled crossovers.
A soldering iron/pen and screwdriver/drill are the only tools needed for assembly.
Updgrades
You may upgrade the series inductor in the crossover to a Goertz Copper Foil 14awg for an additional charge.
Tube amp users should consider adding the impedance flattening circuit to the crossover.
Both options are available above.
NOTE: If you choose to add the impedance flattening circuit, you cannot biwire/biamp the speaker.
